FiftyFifty Brewery Joins Reno Public Market

March 21, 2019

Truckee’s original mountain town brewery, FiftyFifty Brewing Co, is planning to open its first Nevada location at Reno Public Market in 2020. The 9,000 square foot brewery will be the anchor tenant in the 25,000 square foot food hall and will include a taproom, brewery, events, roof deck and room for brewing expansion.

FiftyFifty is a founding member of the Truckee-Reno-Tahoe Brewer’s Guild and an award-winning brewer having taken home the 2018 Great American Beer Festivals’ ‘Brewery Group of the Year’ award.

“We’re thrilled to be the anchor tenant and bring our award-winning beers to Reno Public Market’s food hall,” said Andrew Barr, Co-Founder, and CEO of FiftyFifty Brewing. “This is an opportunity for us to expand on the long term success of our Truckee Pub and Taproom by joining the Midtown community and the local brewery scene in Reno.”

Plans for Reno Public Market include large family-friendly gathering areas creating a sense of place and inclusion within the center’s walls. Welcoming all community members, Reno Public Market strives to become the ultimate destination for everyday necessities for the Midtown District and the broader Reno metropolitan area. The original 150,000 square-foot structure will be redeveloped to make way for contemporary spaces, which will include a public market food hall, daily-needs retail spaces, and a specialty organic grocer.

“FiftyFifty Brewing is a fantastic match for Reno Public Market,” said Rick Casazza of Reno Public Market. “Their love of the community, great beer, great experiences, and appreciation of Reno-Tahoe makes them a perfect addition to the Midtown community.”

Inspired by Reno’s food truck culture, the food hall will house over two dozen different authentic, quality food and beverage options.

“Andrew Barr has been working with us from the beginning of our thinking about Reno Public Market, and we are delighted to have FiftyFifty Brewing committed to us,” said Doug Wiele, the project developer from Foothill Partners.
